SKYDIVE SKYDOWN — PARTICIPANT AGREEMENT & WAIVER INFORMATION

Skydiving is an extreme sport, and safety begins with understanding the risks involved. Before jumping at Skydive Skydown, every participant must complete the official USPA-approved waiver and assumption of risk agreement.

This page explains what to expect.

1. What Is the Waiver?

The waiver is a legally required document acknowledging that skydiving involves inherent risks, including serious injury or death.

It confirms that participants:

  • Understand the risks

  • Participate voluntarily

  • Agree not to hold Skydive Skydown liable for injuries resulting from inherent risks

  • Meet age, health, and identification requirements

2. Completing the Waiver

You will complete the waiver:

  • Online before arrival, or

  • On-site using our electronic system

A valid government-issued photo ID is required for all jumpers.

3. What the Waiver Covers

The waiver includes:

  • Assumption of inherent risks

  • Release of liability

  • Medical fitness acknowledgment

  • Emergency contact information

  • Agreement to follow all instructions

  • Equipment and aircraft use

  • Media release (if applicable)

4. Why the Waiver Is Required

Skydiving is regulated by the United States Parachute Association (USPA), and all USPA Group Member dropzones require a signed waiver.

Additionally, federal aviation regulations and insurance providers mandate this documentation.

5. Age Requirements

  • All tandem jumpers must be 18 years old or older.

  • A valid government ID is required.

  • No exceptions.

6. Health Requirements

Participants must be in reasonably good physical condition.

You may not jump if:

  • You are under the influence of drugs or alcohol

  • A medical professional has advised against strenuous activity

  • You are pregnant

If you have concerns, consult a doctor before scheduling.
